Lornell Felder is getting $100k from the City. In the spring of 2009 he was beaten by two plainclothes police officers and held for several days after the cops mistook a cigarette he was rolling for marijuana. If Felder's allegations are even vaguely true then I can't fathom why the two cops named in the suit haven't been fired.

112, 113

112: Rodney Mandotis Johnson, 30 was shot and killed.

113: An as of yet unidentified 21-year-old male was found shot to death on the 1200 block of Ward Street.
Update:
The victim has been identified as Rasheed Abdullah, a man who was apparently very well known to our own Baltimore Crime blog reader Cham and many Pigtown residents as a reputed drug dealer who residents tried multiple times to evict.

More information about Rodney Johnson;
Besides prior arrests for armed robbery, and rape, as well as a drug dealing conviction, Mr. Johnson was also arrested back in 2007 for the murder of Todd Dargan. Arrested alongside Mr. Johnson was 45-year-old Ronald Cox. Mr. Johnson was eventually acquitted and Ronald Cox was convicted and sentenced to life in prison plus 20 years for the murder. Ronald Cox eventually appealed and had his case brought before the MD Court of Appeals on the grounds that he had a right to confront Mr.Johnson at trial citing the Confrontation Clause. His appeal had not been formally decided on as of May of this year.
